The Main Camp – Atta Desert Camp
We have traditional nomad tents in the main camp capable of hosting up to 40 guests, plus the permanent shower and toilet block with European-style facilities, a large dining tent, kitchen building, and an open-sided large Berber tent for dining, social gatherings, relaxing, reading, etc. It is beautifully furnished with loungers or day beds, poufs, bright carpets, and rugs and lit by ornate iron “mosque” shaped lanterns with candles in the evening, giving the camp a magical atmosphere. Cooling drinks are available at all times.
The nomad-type tents are lined outside by goat and camel hair covers, giving warmth and privacy. Traditional bright-colored walls and floor coverings of rugs and carpets cover the inside. The beds have European mattresses and quality bedding; we supply chairs and small tables. We provide electricity to your tent through solar panels. You can shower or just refresh in our new ablution block, which includes European-style facilities – but we ask that you use our most precious resource – our water – with respect and not waste.
